About Me
As a young boy, I used to make strange concoctions out of dried flowers and bits of plants I found in our family garden. I would offer these to my mother as"medicine," and scurry away before she saw the mess I had made in the kitchen. This young passion for plant medicine never ceased, leading me to study ethnobotany, agriculture, Western and Amazonian herbalism, and, finally, Traditional Chinese Medicine.

With over 2000 years of unbroken writings, TCM is likely the most intact and developed traditional medical system in use today. What's more, the amount of active contemporary research on both Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture is ever growing, with Acupuncture being accepted by the World Health Organization as a viable treatment for over 50 disorders. Combine these ancient practices with modern research, and you have a vibrant, living medical system able to handle even the most difficult of cases.

Helping people overcome obstacles to their best life is intensely gratifying. Creating a path to health by walking along it with my patients brings joy for both patient and practitioner. I've been very fortunate to have had excellent teachers and worked with hundreds of patients in a busy practice. I've gotten excellent results with both Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, treating a wide variety of complex cases.

When I'm not poring over an ancient medical text or reading up on the latest research, you can find me enjoying life through travel and adventure. I have a number of active hobbies that take me around the world, and pride myself in being able to carry my practice of Chinese Medicine with me as I go. Developing this herbal telehealth practice has allowed me to help more people, in more places,

My Philosophy
At Global Chinese Medicine, we firmly believe that TCM should be accessible and available to as many people as possible. To create this reality, I have developed a unique telemedicine practice to bring Chinese Herbal Medicine to under-served areas of the US, Canada, and Australia. In the US, we almost exclusively prescribe through our own Medicinary. This enables us to not only ensure the highest of standards, but also to keep costs low for our patients. In Canada and Australia, we work with trusted 3rd party suppliers who meet our exacting standards of quality and economy.

The acupuncture clinic in Oaxaca, Mexico operates on a sliding fee scale to ensure accessibility to all. We are also working with some local relief efforts to establish a low- or no-cost treatment option for migrants and other disadvantaged populations.
